Warframe: Techrot Encore
Warframe: Techrot Encore is a medium-sized update for the long-running action game Warframe, and a follow-up to the previous update, Warframe 1999
This update included a ton of new content for the game as well as a significant feature that was delayed from the initial 1999 release. My time working on this update was spent focusing on the expansion to the 1999 tileset of levels for procedural generation
In this update, we added ~21 new tiles to expand the world of Hollvania in Warframe 1999, with a majority of the new areas being focused on the underground areas and train tunnels.
I worked on 2 of theunderground train-tunnel themed connector tiles that were released in this update and I worked on adding support for the PvPvE game mode called Faceoff to the new larger tiles that were designed by other LDs.

My Experience Working on Connector Tiles
The Majority of my work on this update's level design was focused on two connector-type tiles. The two connector tiles I worked on were originally started by a different designer. One of them ("Friala") was in an extremely early WiP state so I was able to rework it to better fit the theme of the update and make it more of my own tile.
The 2nd tile, named "Repet", was initially designed by my fellow LD co-worker Jared Mitchell, who did an amazing job with the initial blockout. I took over the level to work with a level artist and see this level through from first art pass to full release.
Each of these two tiles provided unique challenges that came with designing tight, constrained, underground corridors that this update was focused on, and it was a fascinating experience that provided a change in pace not only for players but also for the design thinking used through this update and 1999's development in contrast to the traditional designs found in Warframe regularly.
